Job Information

Florida International University (FIU) College of Arts, Sciences & Education invite applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor/Tenure Track position in Kinesiology & Exercise Science.

The Assistant/Associate tenured or tenure-earning Professor of Kinesiology & Exercise Science will be primarily responsible for teaching courses at the graduate level and will have professional expertise in one of the following areas: Motor Behavior, Motor Control, Behavior Change, Sport & Exercise Psychology, or Kinesiology. The ideal candidate will have a direct interest in collaborating with current program, college and university faculty and offices affiliated with local, national and global issues related to health, fitness, human development and performance. The selected candidate must provide some service to the university, direct graduate research and assist in further development and promotion of research initiatives. Actively publishing peer-reviewed scholarly work and securing external funding where applicable is required. Candidates with strong publication record and history of external funding preferred. Demonstrated commitment to research commensurate with experience is expected. A doctoral degree (earned by the start date) from an accredited college/university in exercise science or related field is required. The position is a full-time nine-month appointment.
